JANUARY 23

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their  strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary, and walk not being faint.  ( Isaiah 40:13 )


So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.   ( Isaiah 41:10 )


The Lord is a good refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.  ( Nahum 1:7 )


Father we thank you that you are present and provide us with strength and courage daily as we journey through our life. Thank you for your word, the sword of Your Spirit that protects us from Satin. As we travel through each day may we be still and quiet being obedient to Your commands. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ……….Amen

JANUARY 19

Our journey, “Building the Heart of Sienna“, has started. We know we are doing the right thing when Satan is raising his hand, striking us fiercely, trying to get us to stop. Family issues, health issues, failures, and road blocks of progress—all of these are hitting our Church Family.

We need to put on the coat of Armour and fight God’s spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6. Draw the sword of the Holy Spirit; ”Away from me Satan for it is written: Worship the Lord Your God, and serve Him only.” (Matthew 4:10 ) This will slow his temptation. We must spend hours of quiet time, prayer, fasting, and reading of His Word. It is not easy and He will want you to take action, don’t wait for God to do it for you. As you pray he will direct your steps.

Holy Father, let us gather together to praise You, worship You, trust in answers and obey Your commands. Give us discernment to know Your voice. Allow us to be humble and patient. Grant us wisdom and the ability to speak from our heart. In Christ Name ….. Amen

As we have taken the step in our journey we have become a member Church of the CMA, Pastor Charles has spoken of the Core Values. Listed are the Core Values.

  • Lost People matter to God. He wants them found. Luke 19:10
  • Prayer is the primary work of God’s people. Phil. 4:6
  • Everything we have belongs to God. We are his stewards 1 Chron. 29:14
  • Knowing and obeying God’s word is fundamental to all true success. Josh. 1:8
  • Completing the Great Commission will require mobilization of every fully developed disciple. Matt.28:19
  • Without employment of the Holy Spirit , we can accomplish nothing 1 Cor.2:4-5
  • Achieving God’s purposes means taking faith-filled risks. This always Involves Change. Heb.11:6

JANUARY 12

Father may your hand of mercy and grace be with us. Things of this world are folding all around us. There is a spiritual warfare being raged against us at this very moment. Once we begin to do God’s work Satan will attack from all sides. He knows our very weakness and plays that against us. We must now be on the offensive,not allowing him to have his evil way.

We will not use physical weapons, but the weapons God has given us to fight the battle. Prayer, reading and meditating on His word.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  (Joshua 1:9)
“Hear my cry, O God; attend my prayer . From the end of the earth I will cry to You.  When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”  (Psalm 61:1)
“Thanks be to God, Who gives me victory [making me a conqueror] through my Lord Jesus Christ.”  (1 Corinthians 15:57)
” The Lord says to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you (sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully); for My strength and power are made perfect  (fulfilled and complete) and show themselves most effective in your weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weakness and infirmities, that the strength and power of  Christ (the Messiah) may rest upon me.”  ( 2 Corinthians 12:9 )
Father we thank you for your word. The strength that we gain from using it as we come quietly and earnestly into your presence. Guide and direct us so that we may stand firm and not allow the circumstances of this world hinder us from receiving Your blessings.  In Christ name I pray………. Amen

JANUARY 6

2012 is gearing up. Prepare yourself for the journey…We will need more intense and vigilant prayer to be victors of this year. We will not waiver but depend more on His strength. We have many major challenges before us. Jesus Christ is the only means of meeting and overcoming the obstacles that we will face. Presidential election, “Building the Heart of Sienna”, being a stronger witness, the economic unrest, and  family issues.

The mountain looks to be too high, too rugged, but we will not allow this world to distract us. We will meet the demands. And when we stand at the top this time next year we can say, We did this through Him. This is our strategy: Pastor Charles will begin to prepare us for prayer services, where our total focus will be on the issues presented. Our power will be praying as family during this designated time. God teaches us through his word that when two or more come to together in His name He will grant what ever we ask. Use of fasting and prayer, which is noted through out the Bible when faced with a crisis or major decision. And the use of special prayer events.

These strategies will be used as a supplement to our current life. We will be surprised how time will always be available to take care of our personal responsibility and have time for quiet time, prayer, work, and family.
In your quiet time between now and Services Sunday, keep in prayer:
  • Pastor Charles as he presents the message Sunday.
  • You and family pray for wisdom and discernment in determining your first fruits and commitment for “Building the Heart of Sienna.”
  • The Church Board as they meet for the first time  Monday evening as they will address the foundation of our Church.
  • Government Officials: Put God first in our Nation.
  • The Capital Campaign Committee as they  begin the final phase of  our Vision for Building the Heart of Sienna.
Father we think you for this new year. Allow us to renew our minds and heart as we praise and worship You. Thank You for Pastor  Charles and all that he is doing through You. Grant him the words that You want to deliver to the Sienna Family. I pray for each and every member of our family ,that they will be blessed with a  joyful and prosperous New Year. I pray that our board and capital campaign member will be blessed with your wisdom  and knowledge so they will accomplish Your Will

DECEMBER 23

Merry Christmas One and All !!!!

Have you ever heard the TV add….You can get this 100. dollar tool for just $19.95 and if you order now!!…You can get two for the price of one……A.BUT WAIT !!!   Hmmmmm ?  Did you ever stop and think that if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior you will receive His gift now , peace and joy to bare the burdens and circumstances of this world.
Plus you receive without question the heir of his eternal life with Him. No tears, worry,grief, or circumstances. You will live in a mansion that you cannot compare to any existing structure on this earth. Plus there will be no decay, rust, or destruction………………Meditate on that. If you have not made that decision its time you think about it so that you will not miss the deal that Jesus has for you…………

Father we thank you for the many blessings we have received  by your Grace and love for us. We thank you that you have sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to be born among men. He lived as a humble servant, suffering the pain and persecution of this world. As you planned, He died on a cross, as a blood sacrifice to free us of our sin. ….That is how much You love us. As we celebrate the birth of the Messiah let us be still and quite so that we may honor Him.

As we go our way may we have the strength, courage, and wisdom to learn Your precepts, obey your commands, and glorify  Your name in each and everything that we do…………In Christ name I pray……Amen

DECEMBER 2

Father how blessed we are that You love us so much that you gave Your only son that we may be heirs to eternal life. May we honor you and serve you so that Your glory will be known. Grant us wisdom, courage, and strength as we set out on our journey to build and develop our property according to Your will. Be with the workers as they prepare for the Sienna Lights. May the lighting be a symbol of the Light that You provide for us on a daily basis. Allow the fellowship to show and demonstrate Your love for us.
We will go in peace and celebrate the joy of the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ……Amen

NOVEMBER 21

WHAM…..!! A noise is heard, you stumble through the room to find a flashlight. Entering the closet the door closes behind you………..You can sense things around you, but suddenly you discover that you cannot see your hand in front of your face…………….Nothing but still darkness. Sin in similar, the darkness that separates us from God. Think and meditate on that . Life without God is living in a closet without escape. Father we are so thankful for allowing us to be so close you. You provide our light, guide our steps, and give us love and compassion. “Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits.( Psalm 103:2 ) We thank you Lord for all the blessings that you have given through Your Grace…… In Christ Name I pray….Amen

NOVEMBER 18

As a family pray that God’s presence will be felt in the events scheduled. That there will be a  great time for celebration and fellowship. Continue to pray for the Capital Campaign, that the committee will keep God at the forefront of the plans, that they will be patient, and committed to the development according to the way that God will guide them.
Lord may we come to you for courage, wisdom, and knowledge to direct us in the commitment and sacrifice that will be according to your plan for “Building the Heart of Sienna”.  Be with each of us during this busy holiday season, that we may be safe and experience your love and compassion.  We pray this in Your Mighty name, Christ our Lord…….Amen.
“God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and incease your resourses and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.” ( 2 Corinthians 9:10 )
